A Long and Frustrating Experience
I am deeply disappointed with how my case was handled by Sheldon Davidson Solicitors from start to finish. What should have been a straightforward process turned into months of unnecessary delay, poor communication, and an outcome that left me worse off than if I had handled things myself.
Right after the accident, the defendant’s insurance company actually contacted me directly — before I had even spoken to any solicitor — and made a compensation offer that was larger than what Sheldon Davidson Solicitors ultimately secured. Had I accepted that original offer, my car would have been repaired much sooner, and I would have received more compensation. Instead, I trusted this firm to act in my best interests, only to end up with a smaller payout and months of wasted time.
Throughout the entire process, communication was extremely poor. Almost everything was handled by email, written in complicated legal language that was never explained in plain English. For example, I was sent phrases like “quantum will be determined subject to liability admissions” without any clear explanation of what that meant or how it affected my case. As a client, I found it incredibly difficult to understand what was going on or what decisions were being made on my behalf.
The medical assessment was equally disappointing. It felt completely impersonal — more like a box-ticking exercise than an actual evaluation of my injuries. The “exam” consisted of raising my hands above my head and being asked to rate my pain on a scale of 1 to 10. There was no proper examination, no discussion about the lasting effects, and no genuine attempt to understand how the accident had affected my daily life.
At no point did I feel that Sheldon Davidson Solicitors truly cared about me or my case. It felt as though their priority was simply to close files quickly rather than fight for fair compensation or ensure that their clients understood the process. The outcome speaks for itself: a smaller payout than the original insurer’s offer, a long and frustrating process, and no sense that anyone was genuinely working for my best interests.
In hindsight, I wish I had gone with a law firm that actually cares about its clients — one that communicates clearly, acts quickly, and genuinely tries to achieve the best possible result. My experience with Sheldon Davidson Solicitors has done nothing but cost me time, cause stress, and leave me disappointed.
I would strongly advise anyone considering Sheldon Davidson Solicitors to think twice. Look for a firm that values transparency, communicates in plain English, and truly works for you — not just for their own convenience.
